Not all TV spots start as TV spots. This one started as a small-budget Instagram carousel, of all things.
The video we were filming took shape when one of the race car drivers asked if he could drift the car into the pit stop at Daytona. The client said yes, and the footage looked so awesome that his boss asked if we could create a social video out of it. Fortunately, our team had thought ahead and filmed a bunch of matching cuts, because the boss’s boss decided it would make a good TV spot after it outperformed social benchmarks by about 247%.
Goes to show, the power of a good idea is still as important today as ever.
